ETA: Thanks to adinarj who helped me fix this entry in HTML so that I knew how to do some cool new things using coding. (She's such a mean teacher - she made me do the entry ALL OVER AGAIN since I used rich text!!)


This meme has just appeared on my flist, and I really like it because I love icons. I think it's so interesting to see what people pick to represent their words, even if it's mostly fandom things.

Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List each one in your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, what significance it has.

I have 73, so I picked every 7th one.



This is just a smiley-happy picture of Veronica. It was one of my first icons, and I just use it to express all being well with the world. Also, I like her hair, and soon afterwards, I got that exact same haircut, which I still have.







This is from when I was doing Nano and I posted about it non-stop and thus really really needed an icon! I like what it says because it's true.








This is a quote from 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' - one of my favorite shows of all time. If I remember correctly, it's a Noel Fielding quote. Every week after the show airs, miss_jaffacake makes a set of icons of the people and the quotes and I always want tons of them but have to restrain myself. This particular one actually comes in handy quite a lot - pretty much anytime I need to provide an answer to someone.






This is due to my serious obsession with Hairspray. Oh yes, and Zac Efron. Shut up!








One of my few non-fandom related icons. This is a cup of tea (duh) which is one of the best things in the world. The use of this icon is representative of normalcy. Or something.








This icon is a picture (beautifully done) from Green Wing, a great and under-appreciated British show. Actually I rarely recommend GW to people, because the show is ON CRACK and I never know how people will take it. Seriously, it's weird. Oh, and the ship is Caroline/Mac, although it must be admitted that towards the end of the second season I was kinda almost on the bandwagon that was Caroline/Guy, but possibly that was mostly because I just wanted Mac for myself!






This is another one from 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks'. I like it because it shows the set of the show, and also because the idea of "double points" comes in handy when I want to say "yay!" to someone.







This is Jay from 'Wonderfalls' - another show that was a bit under the radar but I loved it. I don't think it even aired a full season in the States, but that didn't make a difference to me because I only ever saw it on DVD. I have this titled as "Jay "'you're crazy' stare" and I really don't think I use it as often as I should!







This was made by robinpoppins and she very kindly let me take it after I complained that the only Friends icon I had was a rude one. I love Friends, although I know that's SO not cool to say! It was the first TV show I was ever truly obsessed with, and I've seen all the episodes a million times. I rock at Friends trivia, and the show still makes me laugh. It's my ultimate comfort show, even more so than Gilmore Girls.






I love this icon, and I only found it recently. It was one that I knew I wanted ages ago - I mean I had it in my head as a cool idea for an icon, but I never bothered to try and make it on my own. So a few weeks ago I sat down to look instead of make one, and I was so excited to find one that fit exactly what I wanted. Willow was always my favorite Buffy character, and Vamp!Willow was fabulous every time she was on - not to mention the fact that 'bored now' is both a useful and legendary catchphrase.








I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT NOT EVEN ONE OF MY GILMORE GIRLS ICONS CAME UP! How very sad. It is weird though, because out of 73 icons, 17 are GG related or feature actors from GG. Even my default icon is Alexis. Huh. *shrugs*
