A Week in the Life of Jenn. - Volume 4

I really should be asleep since I need to be at work early again tomorrow, but I just can't seem to get there. BLAHHHHH!

A Week in the Life

1. Take between 6 and 8 new photographs per day.
2. Your picture days must be consecutive - no skipping days!
3. Post your photographs at the end of that day, some time after the last picture is taken.
4. Your post should be titled “A Week in the Life of [name], Volume [whatever day you're on].”
5. Link back to your earlier entries.

So here's day four:

I don't know why I thought this was going to get harder once the work week began. I am insane with a camera - I took so many pictures today it was just ridiculous! But here are the eight:

First of course the obligatory tube shot. I'll try to limit myself, or vary them, or something, but that commute takes up two hours of my day! It's important.

My tube reading: the new Julia Quinn book! Very cute and light. Well worth the wait too.

Our office building's nameplate! My boss had the part above the number specially made, to connect us to America in people's minds or something. Because, you know, American tax firm.

We're having an extension built so the back part of our office is a wreck. The workmen are anything but neat.

Look! I'm doing work.

Sometime after lunch I dropped my hole-punch on the floor and it went everywhere. Grrrr!

On the way home from work I went to the library. I had meant to look for one specific book, but of course I got distracted.

Dinner, a bit of tax work, and then (reward!) finally watching this week's Dr Who with Jessie on bbci player. These expression are completely genuine, not staged, Rach was snapping while we watched. It was thrilling... Also, the reason my head is in saran wrap is because I just henna-ed it. (And I am posting this picture publicly!)

And now to bed!

Seriously, I'm having a love affair with your camera. The pictures are so pretty.

I love the pic of you and your roomie in your pjs. Too cute.

I'm so glad to hear this about my camera! Sometime I wonder if it's silly to have since it's a bit bulky, so it's nice for it to get some praise. In doing this meme I've also discovered some new options on it, so that's cool too.

Did you notice I have saran wrap on my head? I started to reply to you and then realised I hadn't explained that and it looks a bit weird, so quick edit!

heh. nice pics. I have actually never seen the inside of your office. Which is unfair as you have seen mine! post more, not just of mess. let's see if it's how i pictured it.

i love the way my hair turned out btw. Did you mind me throwing things at your wall this morning? =) I hope you didn't think I was joking!

[identity profile] jenepel.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 11:55 am (UTC)(link)
Hah! Maybe today if you're lucky I'll do some office pics.

I didn't mind the wall throwing - I thought it was funny. I don't know if it helped or not though. Although perhaps it helped you get your anger out?

[identity profile] basilm.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah it seemed like it helped. but maybe it just made me feel better? I'll line up an arsenal of weapons for tomorrow. Today I used: hairbrush, small bottle of eyeglass cleaner, and something else I can't remember. But you don't have to be in early tomorrow right? like i said I wouldn't mind waking up at 8:30. just 7:30... anyway when we get another flat we will put you at the far end and hire a pool boy to wake you up. or something.

Maybe we could get you some bouncing balls?

I mind waking up at 8:30.

[identity profile] basilm.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually have a bouncy ball... doubt I could catch it though.

yeah you need a new job!

Omigod Doctor Who - that was one of the best yet. Spoilers!!!

[identity profile] jenepel.livejournal.com 2008-06-10 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
YES! We were very very excited. In fact, I don't really think that picture does justice to our excitement.

we needed sound clips. "OH MY GOD!!!!"

Whoa, lots of hole punch crap on the floor. Not fun to clean up. Reminds me of how I used to send out birthday cards to people and put cut up paper in the center of the card so when they opened it up it flew all over the place. One of my friends opened a card like that in the middle of the post office.

She wasn't very happy with me.

Hee! Glitter in cards drives me crazy. I have one friend that always puts it in her Christmas cards, but at least I know that and am ready for it.

I like the first pic -- cool shot. And I think the one with all the hole punch things is oddly peaceful. Even though it's so not and cleaning up that stuff is a humungo pain. And LOL for that last pic. I mean, it *totally* looks staged! Hehe. But very cool hang out shot.

[identity profile] jenepel.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
It wasn't staged, I swear! We just have very dramatic reactions.
