Small Children and Animals

I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, and of course have never gotten around to it, so no time like the present! In the manner of some "quoteboards" I used to post at university, as well as Rach's group blog, I'm gonna post funny quotes overheard or participated in, just whenever I feel like it.

So here's a random one from when I was at my mom's school last week. She's an elementary librarian, and a volunteer was reading the kids this book, all about finding yourself, being yourself, etc. And at the end (after some discussion):

Volunteer: So, the story is telling us that you should be happy just to be yourself.

Small Boy: Yes, because if I was an animal I wouldn't be able to play video games.

It's just possible that he kind of missed the point. :)

I know! When I worked at the elementary school I felt like I found something funny that was said daily. They just have such an unusual way of looking at things.
