Why do the "real" Friday Fives always suck and yet
adinarj has good ones? (Yes, I know she is picking and choosing, but still...) ETA: I just realised this was one of the "real" ones - I'm dumb!
1. What was on your mind yesterday?
The logistics of my upcoming move and how little time I suddenly have before I start my new job.
2. What is on your mind today?
Taxes. People were very unprepared today - I kept having people come in and realise they didn't have enough paperwork. We were calling the States right and left.
3. Do you like bonfires?
I love them. I love Guy Fawkes night - I always try to be at my parents's house that weekend so I can go to the village bonfire. Also, when I was a kid, it was so exciting every month or so when my dad had enough yard stuff together for a bonfire. We would have a few of our friends over to spend the night and roast marshmallows on it, and it always felt like a celebration. I love how you can smell bonfires in the air, and you are like "oooh, someone has a fire tonight"! This is mostly village memories from growing up though - I don't really get it in London. Wow, that was a lot about a throw-away question!!
4. Do you believe in the paranormal?
No. And I'm glad I don't because otherwise it would scare me. (Ok, it still kind of scares me, but I can rationalise it away.)
5. Can you swim?
Yes. I haven't in a while, but I'm a pretty strong swimmer.
