Okay, people so I totally caved and upgraded my cable (as we all knew I would).  This means I'm up all alone (I took naps today) in the main room getting ready, watching red carpet crap on E! with the sound down so I don't have to listen to Ryan Seacrest.

But I'm alone people!  And you guys are all an ocean and a timezone away.  So I'm hoping for some simulwatching: google chat, AIM, the dragonfly, TWoP, etc.  I don't care by what forum, but some of you must be out there watching with a computer on.  Find me!

In another related note, I was talking to Jared about the Oscars and he doesn't know who Jon Stewart is.  Seriously.  He doesn't know who Jon Stewart is.  Me in response: ...............

It's a weird world.

Um people, this is seriously cool.  Really, it is.  I'm IN this video, with Milo.  It's from last summer when they did the Heroes World Tour thing (no idea why Spanish Sci Fi just posted it now, but whatever).  It's kind of a snapshot of the London portion, and right there in the middle of the video (0:49 secs), you can see me and Milo, him taking the picture of us.  You can even kind of hear him as he says "I'm really good at them" and see as he checks the picture afterwards to see if it took.  Don't know what that means?  Read my entry about it or look at the pictures.

Thanks a million times over to [profile] adinarj who spotted it.  She sent it to me and I thought "oh, I will probably be incredibly hard to see" but NO, there I am, front and centre.  Awesome.

Just wanted to mention two random things that happened this weekend, just to make it a little more interesting.

1.  A bus I was riding on had an accident.  This has never happened to me before, and of course I ride the bus ALL the time.  It really wasn't a big deal, barely an accident, but it was so unusual that it merits a mention  He must have been a new driver, because what happened is that he turned down the wrong road.  So then (like an idiot) he starts to back up.  I mean I know he maybe didn't think he could figure out a way to get right, but still!  And it was one of the bendy buses too, which are long and unwieldy.  (I think a double-decker would be easier to maneuver.)  So he's backing up and trying to turn at the same time, and everyone behind us is honking and trying to back up to get out of the way, and then he ran into someone.  Lovely.  So we all had to get out and change buses and all this jazz.  So much excitement.

2.  Star sighting!  The place I was headed to on the bus was this scrapbook/stamping/papercraft fair that my mom was meeting me at.  So that was pretty cool.  But just as we were leaving, I turned around and there right in front of me was Helena Bonham Carter!  Just standing in front of me.  Very cool person to see.  Oh, and that reminds me (on the topic of star sightings) that a few weeks ago when we were out in Brick Lane, my flatmate and I saw Pete Dougherty.  He just walked right past us.

That's all I've got.

Oh, new episode of the virtual season tomorrow!

Okay, to follow up on my earlier (very detailed) post about the World Tour, here are (finally) the pictures.

All in all, a very successful weekend!

I MET MILO!! Seriously, I met him on Friday! I'm still totally excited and squeeing - such a fangirl. I usually try to avoid being this giddy over someone, but I'm pretty ridiculous when it comes to Milo.

Insane detail )

I stayed til 2:00 and then I had to rush back to go to work. It was quite a letdown after all that excitement! And then, to top it all off, after work I had to go to A&E (Accident and Emergency, or to you stateside people - the ER). Long story short, I've been having chest pains this week and refusing to go to the doctor. People at work have been worried - well, they are all older than me and they (I think) baby me a bit. So I finally agreed I would go Friday night. It took like three hours. They did an EKG and evidently there was something on there that was wrong, so they wanted to do more. They took blood (from both a vein and an artery), urine, and did a chest x-ray. Then they did another EKG, and that one was clean. The bottom line was that they couldn't find anything wrong. (THAT'S why I don't go to the doctor.) So he just gave me Codeine for the pain and told me to come back if it was still bothering me, got worse, etc. Also, now I have these huge bruises in the two places they took blood - I look like a druggie. The great thing is that all I had to pay for was the medicine. God bless the NHS. I bet that would have cost thousands in the US. Or at least I get that impression from TV shows.

They have just added Milo and Adrian to the ComicCon lineup. I was planning to go tomorrow anyway, but now I'm even more excited. Maybe I'll see them again - I guess it depends what the setup is.
