jenepelETA: Posted! And I'm at Adina's - we're chatting and stuff. She picked me up 12:15 - so that's only about 4 hours after I was supposed to be there.

adinarj's house. (Hi Adina!) From Heathrow I had to fly through Chicago to get to New Jersey - thank you AA - because flight plans are stupid. Here's my day so far (all in GMT):
stay up all night packing
7 AM - leave house
1015 AM - board plane, fall asleep
1130ish AM - eat, fall asleep again
6:30 PM - wake up realising they are serving food again, eat
7:15 PM - land
I missed the entire flight! I usually nap, but that complete and total knock-out was impressive even for me. It was a good thing though, because when I woke up I realised that my mini-TV didn't work. So I dodged that disappointment. I don't even know what movies they showed. Weird. Okay, then...
7:30 PM - customs, security, etc
[my next flight was scheduled to leave at 2:40 which would be 8:40 PM, but it was delayed)
8:15 PM - get to gate
9:45 PM - board
12:25 AM - take off
So yes, we sat on the tarmac for almost three hours, taxi-ing occasionally. Pretty much nothing more annoying than that. I got a lot of journal writing done. I really should have been doing some hand-written Nano, but I have a hard time making myself do it off of the computer.
BLECH. With all these delays I feel like the universe doesn't want me to meet Adina! But we will not be denied! GG meetings WILL HAPPEN! Ok, now enough complaining and onto the fun stuff. 12 of 12 for November!! First the rules:

We had been watching a movie, waiting for Heroes to download (shhh!) and it got a little late. Rach deserted us (she doesn't do Heroes) but Seb and I enjoyed Noah Bennett et al in widescreen. (WHY isn't this a picture of MILO? Dammit Jenn.)

I skipped the work day for you, because it was boring. But look at my pretty desk, all cleaned up since I'm going away. Also of note: the background pic of Rach and I with the ever-present "London for Obama" sign. Man have we gotten some mileage out of that thing!

5:43 PM - Finchley Central Tube Station, N3
The moon, just because it looked cool. The picture doesn't really do is justice though. Weird that this picture was taken exactly an hour after the last one. I was on my way home from work. To pack. UGH.

We skip some more time, in which I had dinner, then did everything I could think of to put off packing. Including taking this random picture of my fingernails so you could get a Henna-nail (tm) update! Look how grown out they are. At this rate I ought to be able to stop wearing nail polish by freaking Christmas.

Candy I am taking to people in the States. And by "people" I mostly mean my brother. Lucky him to have such a fabulous sister huh?

This is my favourite picture of the bunch. I love the angle and how completely relaxed Nimbus looks. Mostly what's happening here is that I'm bugging Rach (who's trying to work) because I don't want to pack.

More time-wasting? This is Henna, ready to be put in my hair so that my colour will be all pretty and new for the wedding. It's necessary I tell you! Seb says that making the Henna seems like cooking, and he's kind of right. Ingredients in here: Henna powder, red wine, paprika. Actually it kind of feels like mixing a potion - look how green and bubbley and evil it is!

After much procrastination I've decided to get down to business. My room, mid-packing. Notice my dress for the wedding which is hanging on the closet door.
