Just to say

Karaoke was AWESOME. As it always is. In fact, it was so good that we decided to stay an extra hour (we had booked for two).

We sang Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" which I totally put in because of Glee, and I think it's my new favourite karaoke song. Everyone loved it, and I know we'll put it on the mental list of standards.

Oh! Also awesome? They now have "I won't say (I'm in love)" from Hercules. I swear that wasn't there before. And also one song from the Buffy musical. It's "Going through the motions" which wouldn't be my first choice, but basically I'm just surprised they have it. OMG, next time I have to check for HSM songs - I can't believe I never did that before!!

Lest you think we only do musicals and Disney songs though, let me tell you that our repertoire tonight also included: Beatles, Joni Mitchell, REM, The Smiths, Oasis, Boyzone, Blur, Greenday, Blink 182, The Supremes, Don Mclean, Kenny Rogers, Supersonic, EMF, Dead or Alive, Frank Sinatra, and so many more that I can't remember now.

So yeah, karaoke rules.

Karaoke does rule!! That was one of the first questions I had to answer when I was playing tour guide in London last weekend, and I didn't have a clue as where to go! Got any hot tips about karaoke on weekends?

Guh, the Supremes! I hope you did the moves too. =D

Well I'm probably not much help since we always do box karaoke at Lucky Voice. I don't know about proper bar karaoke - I've never done that in London. I think the box kind is better since it's just your friends and you get to sing more, but it's also much more expensive!

I'm sorry I missed that. Can has karaoke next time? =D

Definitely! I'm sure we'll go again at some point.

Ants freak me out, but I love bookstores.

I want to go karaoke-ing with you. That sounds like a great set list.

It is! Pretty much we'll sing anything that is suggested. Also, with that many people you always get a wide array of music tastes.

I think the best thing about box karaoke is the ability to try out any song at all - if it doesn't work then you just skip onto the next one. You can't exactly do that in a bar setting. Have you done box karaoke yet in Hong Kong? They must have it - all of my first experiences with it were in Asia.
