You're the reason I'm on LJ - it was your pestering that got me here, and I'm SO thankful for that. You always have my back and are such a wonderful supportive friend.  I miss you around here lately, but I'm glad your life is busy and happy, even if it means less time for LJ.  I hope your birthday was as completely fabulous as you are!  Big hugs! ♥ ♥ ♥

Thank you!! You rock, totally and completely. The picture is awesome and having it "a day late" just extends the celebration.

I do check LJ daily. I just can't get back in the swing of regular updates. Maybe I feel like I keep saying the same things over and over.

I definitely want to try to plan a trip to come see you and your city! Give me your schedule again!

I don't really have a schedule past August when I'll be in the US. After that I have vague ideas that I might want to make trips, but absolutely nothing solid. So if you gave me dates that were good for you, that would preempt anything else that isn't planned yet. Sept/Oct/whatever

I'm playing with dates right now--trying to find the best time for flights, etc., but I'm thinking mid-October. How long of a trip are you up for? If I'm doing London, I don't want to go for only 5 days or whatever.

Maybe two weeks max? Best thing is try and stretch it so you hit two weekends. Obviously you would be on your own a lot during the week days, since I have to work. I could probably swing a few days off but I don't know how many.

That's fine! I did LA on my own. I figure we can hang out in the evenings, and then you can recommend things to do, or whatever. And if you can swing off a day or two, all the better.

I'm looking at a stay of around 10 days: mid-week to the following end-week. Starting around Oct. 12-13 or so. I've been tracking flights on Yapta and they're decent. (Surprisingly, moving the whole trip over one day was $200 less!) Does that sound good to you?

Yeah that would be fine - the only thing around the time is that there's a tax deadline on the 15th, but it's a later one, so work shouldn't be too manic.
